Job description

Overview

This is a remote opportunity for a Technical Project Manager / Scrum Master located in the United States. The role is offered through a partner organization that handles applications and the subsequent hiring steps directly.

You will lead complex healthcare data and technology programs in a fast-moving consulting setting, coordinating delivery across Agile teams, engineers, business partners, and clients. The position blends project leadership, Scrum facilitation, requirements management, business analysis, and technical coordination. It is well suited to someone who enjoys working at the crossroads of technology, strategy, and delivery improvement, while also using modern data and AI-enabled tools to strengthen execution.

Accountabilities

  • Steer several technical initiatives at the same time, using Agile, Scrum, and hybrid delivery approaches from kickoff through release.
  • Set project goals, delivery dates, milestones, measures of success, and staffing plans while actively managing risks, dependencies, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Run Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and team working sessions.
  • Oversee the technical side of the Systems Development Lifecycle and partner with engineering teams on data integration, analytics, warehousing, reporting, and related solutions.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain business and system requirements, then convert business needs into clear functional and technical documentation.
  • Use SQL for data checking, quality review, and analysis to support implementation work and confirm data correctness.
  • Act as the main point of contact for business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams, providing concise updates, presentations, and project status reports.
  • Coach junior colleagues, encourage Agile best practices, use AI tools to improve productivity, and help ensure deliverables meet healthcare data governance, security, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; an advanced degree or applicable certifications will be viewed favorably.
  • At least 5 years of experience directing enterprise-level projects in data management, data integration, analytics, or technology implementation.
  • Demonstrated success delivering work through Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methods.
  • Solid experience in technical project management, business analysis, requirements gathering, and systems implementation.
  • Practical SQL knowledge for analysis, validation, and quality assurance tasks.
  • Hands-on use of Jira for project administration and Agile delivery tracking.
  • Strong communication, leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with comfort working across both technical and non-technical groups.
  • Capability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining strong client relationships in a consulting environment.
  • Preferred background includes Scrum Master certification such as CSM or PSM, PMP certification, healthcare or Medicaid exposure, consulting experience, familiarity with HIPAA and data governance, knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, and Jira administration experience.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% depending on client and project needs.

Benefits

  • Remote work from anywhere within the United States.
  • Annual base pay between $90,000 and $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Broad benefits package supporting physical, mental, financial, social, and career well-being.
  • Room for professional development, ongoing learning, and career growth.
  • A collaborative, people-centered culture that emphasizes innovation, teamwork, and inclusion.
  • Chance to contribute to high-impact healthcare data and technology transformation work.
  • Flexible work setup with exposure to modern tools, Agile delivery practices, and AI-assisted solutions.
