Technical Services Engineer

Role overview

Singapore Airlines is looking for a Technical Services Engineer to join the Technical Services team within the SIA Engineering Division. This role focuses on supporting the airline’s fleet through technical assistance, operational analysis, performance enhancement initiatives, and defect troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Support the dependable and efficient operation of the Singapore Airlines fleet by providing technical guidance.
• Make sure design-related work aligns with the Singapore Air Navigation Order, Singapore Airworthiness Requirements, and Airworthiness Notices.
• Work closely with Engineering, Flight Operations, and SIA Engineering Company teams to investigate issues and resolve defects.
• Review recommendations from aircraft and engine manufacturers as well as component suppliers, and advise on changes that can improve aircraft, engine, and component performance and reliability.
• Conduct operational studies on the fleet to identify opportunities for better performance.

Requirements

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering is required.
• The role calls for someone who can work on their own while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills are important because the job involves regular coordination with multiple internal departments.
• Applicants should be capable of analyzing problems, diagnosing root causes, and putting forward practical solutions.
• Willingness to work extended hours to address technical and operational issues is necessary.
