About the Role
Avanceon is seeking an experienced and hands-on Technical Team Lead to join our Qatar office. This role is crucial for leading the development and delivery of enterprise software solutions across Industrial Automation, Smart City, GIS, and Digital Transformation sectors. You will manage a team of developers, oversee sprint execution, ensure high code quality, conduct technical reviews, and deliver software solutions that meet project requirements and deadlines. The position requires deep technical expertise in .NET and React, proficiency with SQL databases, and strong collaboration skills with GIS, SCADA, Database, BI, and client teams. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will translate business needs into technical solutions while upholding development standards, Agile methodologies, and delivery commitments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor software development team members, assigning and tracking development tasks and sprint deliverables.
- Participate actively in effort estimation, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning.
- Ensure the timely completion of assigned project work packages.
- Assist the Technical Manager with resource planning and project execution.
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, ASP.NET Core / .NET, ReactJS, REST APIs, and SQL Server.
- Uphold software architecture, coding standards, and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, and perform troubleshooting.
- Guide developers in creating scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
- Champion Agile and Scrum practices within the development team and manage sprint activities using JIRA.
- Coordinate effectively with various teams including Dotnet, Tableau/BI Developers, Database Teams, the Technical Manager, and client integration teams.
- Support integration efforts involving enterprise systems, GIS platforms, SCADA systems, and third-party applications.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT to enhance coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting processes.
- Promote the adoption of AI-enabled development approaches.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of overall software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role managing software development teams.
- Proficient in C#, ASP.NET Web 3.5, ASP.NET Core / .NET, ReactJS, REST API Development, and SQL Server.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and GitHub for project management and version control.
- Proven experience in conducting code reviews and technical design reviews.
- Demonstrated professional experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies.
Additional Information
- Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, and reporting platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices is a plus.
