Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Tekla Modelers and Tekla Detailers to join our team in Chennai, India. This role involves delivering high-quality 3D steel models and detailed fabrication/erection drawings for Australian projects.

Senior Tekla Modeler Responsibilities

• Lead the entire modeling process from initial drawing review to final approved deliverables.
• Proactively generate requests for information (RFIs) before and after modeling.
• Develop intricate 3D models for structural and miscellaneous steel components.
• Ensure models are optimized for fabrication, erection, and shipping logistics.
• Configure project-specific connections, assign unique numbering, and extract drawings.
• Maintain meticulous records of submitted areas, revisions, and numbering status.
• Collaborate closely with Team Leads and Checkers for quality assurance.
• Assist in planning tasks and estimating the effort required for modeling activities.

Senior Tekla Modeler Skills & Experience

• Possess 4 to 8+ years of practical experience using Tekla for modeling.
• Have at least 2 years of direct experience with Australian steel detailing projects.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in modeling complex steel structures and connections.
• Exhibit a thorough understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Show high levels of ownership, analytical capability, and problem-solving skills.
• Be capable of mentoring and guiding junior modelers.

Senior Tekla Detailer Responsibilities

• Prepare and finalize detailed drawings for complex assemblies, single parts, and erection plans.
• Guarantee the accuracy, constructability, and clarity of all detailing deliverables.
• Address and resolve detailing-related RFIs in conjunction with modelers and checkers.
• Produce comprehensive fabrication and erection packages.
• Generate NC files, DXF files, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and submission reports.
• Provide guidance to junior detailers and uphold established drawing standards.

Senior Tekla Detailer Skills & Experience

• Accumulate 4 to 8+ years of dedicated Tekla detailing experience.
• Have prior experience working on Australian steel detailing projects.
• Show extensive exposure to complex structural and miscellaneous steel projects.
• Exhibit excellent ownership of quality and a strong commitment to delivery timelines.
• Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and meet stringent deadlines.
