- Help with placements by checking whether accommodation is suitable for each household.
- Keep clear and accurate records of visits, inspections, and any follow-up work, while working to performance targets.
- Work alongside the team leader and homelessness team in placement decision-making.
- Support vulnerable households and refer them to relevant statutory or voluntary services where necessary.
- Track occupancy levels and report any unauthorised use or breach of agreement.
- Cooperate with both internal teams and outside agencies.
- Assist with move-on planning and efforts to reduce long-term dependence on temporary accommodation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in temporary accommodation, tenancy management, or a related housing role is essential.

- Confidence in handling vulnerable clients and difficult situations.
- Strong attention to detail and consistent record-keeping.
- Ability to organise workload effectively in a field-based role.
- A full UK driving licence, or the ability to travel between properties, is required.
Additional information
This role is mainly based out in the field because of the day-to-day demands of the service.
Benefits
- Local government pension scheme.
- Annual leave starting at 25 days plus bank holidays, pro-rated where applicable.
- Flexible working arrangements where suitable for the role.
- Employee Assistance Programme.
- Access to an employee benefits platform with discounts on high street shopping, leisure activities, holidays, salary sacrifice schemes, and more.
