Job description

About the company

Amach is a technology-focused business headquartered in Dublin, with distributed teams across the UK and Europe. Its combined local and nearshore delivery model is designed to produce collaborative, high-quality outcomes.

Established in 2013, the company was built to address a key challenge in aviation: excessive complexity and too little practical insight. Amach supports airlines in modernising their operating models through cloud, data, and AI, backed by teams with strong aviation domain knowledge.

The company’s objective is to help airlines improve operational efficiency by using resources more effectively, lowering costs, and enhancing passenger experience and satisfaction.

Role overview

Amach is looking for an experienced Test Lead to support a major aviation client in Dublin. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for driving quality assurance across Agile scrum teams and helping ensure the release of reliable, customer-facing products.

Location

Hybrid working model with 2 days per week in the Dublin office.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the main QA contact for the squad and for relevant stakeholders.
  • Own and coordinate quality assurance activities across Agile delivery teams from start to finish.
  • Plan QA capacity, distribute workload, and align testing priorities with sprint commitments.
  • Keep stakeholders informed about product quality, delivery progress, risk areas, and blockers.
  • Oversee both manual and automated testing workstreams.
  • Support regression planning, defect review, release readiness checks, and quality approval.
  • Help shape automation across UI, API, integration, and regression testing.
  • Apply AI-assisted testing methods to improve test creation, execution, and defect investigation.
  • Use risk-based testing approaches informed by customer behaviour and analytics.
  • Spot opportunities to improve QA processes and encourage best practices across teams.
  • Coach QA engineers and help build a culture of ongoing improvement.

Required experience

  • Background in leading or mentoring QA teams.
  • Practical, hands-on experience with automation frameworks and test tools.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, API testing, UI testing, and integration testing.
  • Solid understanding of regression testing and release management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Ability to identify and escalate quality risks early.
  • Comfort working in fast-moving and changing environments.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to AI-enabled testing tools and platforms.

What’s on offer

  • Opportunity to join a rapidly growing company.
  • Career progression prospects.
  • Learning and development support.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
  • Competitive pay based on experience.

Equal opportunity and inclusion

Amach is an equal opportunity employer and hires on the basis of merit. The company values diversity and is committed to maintaining an inclusive workplace for all employees.

It also promotes a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and expects employees and contractors to respect every individual in the workplace.
