Role Overview
Tirana International Airport (TIA) in Tirana, Albania is looking for a seasoned and commercially focused Ticketing Manager to take charge of ticketing services and help shape their future expansion. This position is central to managing ticketing for both traditional and low-cost airlines, while also supporting the development of a dedicated travel agency business within the TIA environment.
What You Will Be Responsible For
In this role, you will oversee the full ticketing function at Tirana International Airport, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, strong regulatory adherence, business growth, and high-quality customer care. You will work closely with airline partners and other industry contacts to strengthen relationships and improve service delivery.
- Oversee and direct all ticketing activities for airlines operating at Tirana International Airport.
- Make sure ticketing transactions such as issuance, exchanges, refunds, fare handling, and customer assistance are handled efficiently.
- Build and maintain productive partnerships with airlines, travel agencies, and other aviation-related stakeholders.
- Ensure all work aligns with IATA rules, BSP procedures, airline requirements, and internal company standards.
- Lead, coach, and evaluate the Ticketing Team to drive performance and development.
- Track operational and commercial KPIs and introduce actions to improve results.
- Spot opportunities to grow ticket sales, ancillary revenue, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive the creation and expansion of a dedicated travel agency business.
- Develop business plans, budgets, forecasts, and performance updates.
- Support innovation, digital improvement, and process efficiency across ticketing operations.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have a background in aviation, travel, or ticketing operations, along with proven leadership and commercial capability.
- A bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Tourism Management, or a closely related subject.
- At least 5 years of experience in airline, airport, travel agency, or ticketing operations.
- A minimum of 3 years in a leadership position such as manager or supervisor.
- Strong understanding of airline ticketing processes, fare construction, distribution systems, and passenger service workflows.
- Solid knowledge of IATA standards, BSP procedures, and aviation regulations.
- Hands-on experience with Global Distribution Systems; Amadeus is preferred, while Sabre or Galileo would be an added advantage.
- A demonstrated commercial approach with experience in business development and revenue improvement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Professional command of English, both spoken and written.
