About the opportunity
Cabonne Shire Council has a vacancy within its Urban Operations team for a Town Presentation Officer based in Molong, New South Wales. The role focuses on keeping parks, streets, gardens, public amenities, buildings and tourist areas in clean, orderly condition and free from rubbish, in line with Council’s asset management objectives, relevant laws, policies, procedures and supporting documents.
You will join a supportive leadership group and receive training and guidance aligned to Council values. The aim is to help staff build resilience, adapt to the work environment and deliver outcomes that meet both Council and community expectations.
This is a full-time position in Molong, working 38 hours per week on a 9-day fortnight.

Role overview
The position is part of the Town Presentation team, which is responsible for general presentation and upkeep across Council-managed public spaces and facilities. Further details about day-to-day duties are contained in the attached position description.
What you will need
- Current Construction Induction Certification (White Card).
- Valid Class C driver licence.
- AQF3 chemical use certification is preferred.
- Working knowledge of plant and machinery commonly used in town maintenance.
- Basic understanding of plants and horticulture practices.
- Strong time management and organisational ability.
- Practical understanding of mowing maintenance and gardening techniques.
- Ability to carry out labouring work effectively.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to follow detailed written and verbal directions.
- A team-focused approach, with reliability, punctuality and the ability to work well with others.
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute.
Remuneration and employment conditions
The role is covered by the Local Government (State) Award 2026 and Cabonne Council’s employment policies and conditions. It is graded at level 3-4 in Council’s salary structure, with a gross weekly wage between $1118.40 and $1264.60, depending on qualifications and experience.
