Role overview

Sherrin Rentals is seeking a dependable Trade Assistant to support its workshop and yard operations in Adelaide. This is a practical, hands-on position focused on helping the workshop team and getting equipment ready for hire. Candidates who enjoy mechanical work and are open to learning are encouraged to apply.

No trade qualification is required for this role; the key requirement is a positive attitude and willingness to contribute.

Key duties

• Support the workshop crew with day-to-day tasks
• Refuel plant and equipment
• Wash, clean, and detail equipment so it is ready for hire
• Carry out small paint touch-up jobs
• Move, sort, and store equipment, tools, and parts
• Maintain a tidy, safe workshop and yard environment

About you

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined and has some exposure to machinery, heavy equipment, or vehicles. You should be reliable, hardworking, physically fit, and attentive to safety. Having your own basic tools is preferred.
