Role Summary
This position supports traffic control and maintenance of traffic activities on road construction projects. The role involves moving equipment, helping set up traffic control devices, assisting with paperwork, and helping maintain safe project conditions.
Key Duties
- Transport the required equipment to job locations using a truck and trailer.
- Help maintain accurate records for both equipment and delivery times.
- Work closely with the Traffic Control Specialist on assigned projects.
- Place, relocate, and manage traffic cones, barrels, and signs as instructed.
- Assist with setting up Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) arrangements as directed.
- Support completion of MOT-related documentation as needed.
- Contribute to project safety by helping address drop-offs, potholes, and similar hazards.
- Read and follow basic instructions and written memos.
- Perform simple arithmetic using whole numbers, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Experience Needed
Previous experience in road construction and Maintenance of Traffic is preferred. Prior MOT experience is especially desirable.
