Job description
Role overview
This position is responsible for making sure company equipment and products are cleaned, valeted, and prepared to a consistently high standard. The role reports to the Depot Manager and works closely with drivers and yard operatives.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out exterior cleaning across all company products.
- Drain and clean waste tanks on welfare units and vans.
- Clean and valet the interior of welfare units and vans.
- Check that all required ancillary items are present inside the welfare units.
- Perform detailed pre-delivery checks on welfare units and vans, and report any damage, missing items, or other issues to the Manager or through the handheld tablet.
- Make sure certificates and marketing material are current and clearly displayed inside the welfare units.
- Keep necessary stock on hand and cut replacement keys when needed.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and raise requisitions to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Follow the company’s health and safety rules and procedures for all depot activities.
- Work in line with the company employee handbook, policies, and procedures.
- Complete any other tasks assigned by your Manager.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a valeter.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good punctuality and time management.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
- Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
