Job description

Role overview

This position focuses on finding, assessing, and analyzing early-stage and fast-growing businesses that may be attractive investment targets. The analyst helps inform investment decisions through research, financial evaluation, and detailed due diligence on startups and emerging companies.

Key responsibilities

The role includes studying industries, market trends, and new technologies to spot promising opportunities. The analyst reviews startups by examining their business models, scalability, market position, and growth outlook.

A major part of the job is creating financial models and carrying out valuation work. This includes reviewing financial statements, projecting future performance, assessing revenue potential, and estimating possible investment returns.

The analyst also contributes to deal sourcing by monitoring startup ecosystems, accelerator programs, pitch events, and investor networks to uncover new prospects.

Due diligence support is another core function, including evaluation of founding teams, product-market fit, competitive strengths, and operating risks. The analyst prepares investment memoranda, reports, and presentations for senior partners and investment committees.

In addition, the role tracks portfolio companies by monitoring performance indicators, milestones, fundraising activity, and strategic progress. These insights help support portfolio management and value creation efforts.

The analyst works closely with investment teams, founders, and outside stakeholders to support transactions and portfolio expansion. The role is important in helping the firm identify strong startups and make evidence-based investment choices.
