Role overview
This position centers on researching early-stage and fast-growing businesses, assessing their investment potential, and helping guide funding decisions. The analyst will look for promising startups, study business fundamentals, and evaluate market opportunities to support a stronger investment strategy.
What you will do
- Carry out deep market research across industries to spot new trends, disruptive technologies, and attractive investment prospects.
- Review startups by examining their business models, product-market fit, competitive position, customer traction, and growth outlook.
- Perform financial analysis and due diligence on prospective investments, including review of financial statements, revenue models, unit economics, valuation measures, and operational performance.
- Prepare structured findings and recommendations to support investment decisions.
- Assist deal sourcing by tracking startup ecosystems, monitoring industry movements, attending relevant events, and staying aware of emerging companies.
- Contribute to investment memos, presentations, and internal reports that summarize research and recommendations.
- Support portfolio monitoring by tracking the progress of existing investments, reviewing key milestones, and flagging risks or opportunities.
- Work with investment professionals, founders, and external stakeholders to collect insights and support ongoing assessments.
- Take part in strategic discussions by bringing data-backed insights, market viewpoints, and competitive analysis.
