Where you'll work
Job description
About the company
inca is a venture-funded startup focused on transforming insurance claims using agentic AI. The team is applying AI to the insurance space with a direct, execution-oriented mindset and is already seeing strong demand from insurers looking to modernize their claims workflows. The company brings together former BCG project leaders alongside specialists in insurance and artificial intelligence, and is supported by top-tier venture capital investors from one of Europe’s most competitive pre-seed InsurTech rounds.
Role overview
As a Venture Development Intern, you will work closely with the founders and act as a dependable operational partner across several core business areas. The role sits at the crossroads of strategy, sales, product, operations, and finance, with the goal of helping scale the company and contribute to the reshaping of claims management.
What you will do
- Adapt the internship focus to your strengths by choosing one or more tracks to explore in depth.
- Work on product and technology topics by helping turn complex insurance requirements into clear product features.
- Support sales and go-to-market efforts aimed at expanding the business and increasing revenue.
- Contribute to operations and finance by creating the basic systems and reporting structures needed for the next stage of growth.
- Collaborate directly with the founders on high-priority initiatives and execution.
- Take ownership of real problems and help deliver work that has measurable business impact.
What the company is looking for
- You are an advanced student or recent graduate in business, management, finance, economics, or a technical discipline such as computer science, engineering, or physics.
- You are proactive, decisive, and able to execute with focus and commitment.
- You have a strong interest in technology and understand the basics of AI concepts and software logic.
- You are comfortable switching between different kinds of work and enjoy a generalist environment.
- You can analyze ambiguous problems, structure them logically, and turn them into actionable, data-driven solutions.
- You are confident using Excel or Sheets, CRM platforms, and Notion, and you adapt quickly to new digital tools.
What makes this opportunity attractive
- Work on real agentic AI systems used by actual customers rather than on practice projects.
- Join a culture built on direct feedback, accountability, and a strong bias toward execution.
- Gain insight into how a venture-backed startup is built and scaled from strategy through delivery.
- Be based in Berlin with a hybrid-friendly setup, regular off-sites, and direct exposure to the founders.
- Benefit from the usual startup perks while contributing to a mission-driven company with strong momentum.
