Role overview
Our client is a specialist consultancy focused on digital design services, delivering high-performance solutions across ASIC, FPGA, and SoC programs for leading technology businesses. With demand continuing to rise, they are seeking an experienced Verification Engineer to join the team.
While the company is based in Adelaide, this position is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere in Australia.
What you will do
- Build verification strategies and document clear verification plans.
- Design and support SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments.
- Develop testbenches, test cases, and regression test suites.
- Analyse functional, code, and assertion coverage results.
- Troubleshoot simulation issues and work with design engineers to fix defects.
- Help refine verification methods and promote best practices.
- Take part in design reviews and code reviews.
About you
The ideal candidate has practical experience verifying digital IC or FPGA designs and enjoys tackling complex technical problems in a team-oriented setting.
Requirements
- Professional experience working as a Verification Engineer.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Experience creating constrained-random verification environments.
- Solid debugging ability and a structured approach to problem solving.
- Familiarity with functional coverage and assertions.
- Exposure to simulation tools such as Synopsys VCS, Siemens Questa, or Cadence Xcelium.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team.
Desirable exposure
- Background verifying ASIC or FPGA designs.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl.
- Understanding of common verification methodologies and CI/CD practices.
