Job overview
We are hiring a Video Editor in French Guiana to transform raw material into engaging, high-performing social video. This role partners closely with the Paid Social team to create platform-specific content that matches the brand, supports conversions, and maintains a high creative standard. It is best suited to someone who cares deeply about pacing, understands what captures attention quickly, and can work efficiently without sacrificing quality.
Responsibilities
- Produce and refine polished video assets tailored for paid social placements on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Shape raw clips into clear, engaging stories by handling trimming, sequencing, transitions, color correction, sound work, and motion graphics.
- Add captions and on-screen text so videos remain accessible and effective for silent viewing.
- Keep production materials, folders, and video libraries well structured and up to date.
- Work with creative and marketing stakeholders during idea development and campaign planning.
- Track emerging platform trends and use them to keep content relevant and effective.
- Respond to feedback promptly and improve edits through fast iteration.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience editing branded video content for social media.
- A strong portfolio that shows range, storytelling ability, and sound creative judgment.
- Good knowledge of both short-form and long-form formats, along with platform-specific technical requirements.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; familiarity with Photoshop and motion graphics is an advantage.
- Understanding of codecs, export settings, and content optimization for different platforms.
- Comfort using Notion, Slack, and GSuite in day-to-day work.
- Ability to juggle several projects at once while meeting deadlines.
- Preferred academic background in Film Production, Media Arts, or Communications.
- Familiarity with Loom for asynchronous communication and tutorials is a plus.
