Role overview

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Ward Host/Hostess to support a professional, patient-centred meal service. The role is focused on maintaining excellent hygiene and safety standards while delivering high-quality service to patients.

What the role involves

  • Providing a courteous, professional service with a strong customer focus.
  • Following HACCP requirements and food safety controls.
  • Working in line with all Trust policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Handling patient meal service accurately, including collation and delivery.
  • Completing all required paperwork and records carefully and correctly.
  • Carrying out duties in hot environments and, at times, in continuously chilled areas.
  • Spending long periods standing while on duty.

Working pattern

The successful candidate should be prepared for a variety of shifts on a 3-week rota, including two weekends out of every three.

The Trust is ideally seeking someone with experience in delivering a patient-focused meal service and working to high hygiene and safety standards.
