Overview

TCP Homecare is a healthcare services provider focused on direct-to-patient solutions, including the dispensing and distribution of pharmaceutical products, home care nursing, and sharps waste management. The company delivers a complete service model that supports hospital-style care in the patient's home.

Role Summary

The Warehouse Operative will handle daily warehouse tasks in line with established procedures, helping maintain service levels for customers, clients, and patients. This is a specialist pharmaceutical warehouse environment, so precision, compliance, and quality control are essential. The position also includes supporting logistics driving duties when needed, including the transport and delivery of medical products to customers and community pharmacies.

Employment Details

This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday role on a specified purpose contract with an estimated duration of six months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete warehouse operations in accordance with GDP standards.
  • Pick orders, process outbound deliveries, and receive incoming goods.
  • Work across both wholesale order picking and patient prescription order fulfilment.
  • Maintain full dispatch traceability, including batch number certification for products.
  • Keep the stores area and refrigerators clean and well maintained.
  • Communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders involved in customer, patient, and client service.
  • Take part in stock counts, cycle counts, and checks for short-dated stock.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures to support a safe workplace.
  • Protect customer and patient data and maintain confidentiality in line with GDPR.
  • Attend all required training and regularly review training records in the company learning system.
  • Support the implementation and upkeep of quality systems within the business.
  • Represent the company professionally and in line with all policies and procedures.
  • Provide backup driving support for emergency deliveries, supplier collections, or short-term cover, where a full licence is held.

Requirements and Desirable Experience

  • A full, clean driving licence is essential.
  • Strong accuracy and close attention to detail are required.
  • The ability to perform well under pressure is important.
  • Working knowledge of PC systems and warehouse management systems is needed.
  • A hardworking and enthusiastic attitude is expected.
  • You should be a reliable, flexible, and cooperative team player.
  • Previous experience in a Good Distribution Practice environment is preferred.
  • A willingness to learn and work alongside an experienced professional team is important.

Extra Duties
