Warehouse Supervisor

Role purpose

This position is responsible for running the main warehouse for a wholesale business focused on household items, especially a high proportion of glass products. The aim is to keep receiving, handling, and storage safe and efficient, improve operational order, reduce breakage and waste, complete orders on time for wholesale customers and online sales channels, and ensure branch stores receive stock without delay.

Key responsibilities

• Receive container shipments and oversee unloading using safe handling procedures for fragile goods.
• Check received quantities and specifications against purchase orders, invoices, and packing lists.
• Inspect cartons and pallets, identify damage, isolate affected items, and raise immediate incident reports.
• Label items, enter them into the system, and assign storage locations.
• Apply the location storage system to avoid random placement and maintain warehouse discipline.
• Arrange glass inventory according to safe stacking standards, prevent pressure damage, and control stacking heights.
• Classify stock by category, turnover rate, and size using the ABC classification method.
• Carry out scheduled and surprise inventory counts and reconcile system records with physical stock.
• Receive sales orders from wholesale and online channels and prepare them accurately.
• Use professional packing standards for fragile products before dispatch.
• Meet the set SLA for order preparation and verify orders before handover.
• Coordinate deliveries and shipments with logistics teams based on safe transportation requirements.
• Prepare and send branch replenishment stock according to approved supply plans.
• Plan loading and delivery schedules and document stock movement between the warehouse and branches.
• Update all inventory transactions in ERP, WMS, Excel, or related systems in real time.
• Produce daily reports covering receipts, prepared orders, delayed orders, shortages, and damage.
• Monitor fast-moving items and help prevent stockouts.

Requirements and skills

• Hands-on experience in warehouse management and operations, preferably in wholesale or distribution environments.
• Practical experience handling fragile products such as glass or ceramics.
• Previous exposure to Odoo inventory and warehouse modules.
• Working knowledge of inventory management systems, including ERP and WMS platforms.
• Strong organizational ability and operational control.
• Accuracy in stock counting and data reconciliation.
• Ability to process orders quickly under pressure.
• Leadership skills with the ability to assign tasks to warehouse teams.
• Good command of Excel and operational reporting.
• Understanding of safety procedures and proper storage practices.

Additional information

This role is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. It is a full-time, onsite position. The role involves managing a warehouse that supports wholesale, online sales, and branch replenishment, with a strong focus on safe operations for fragile merchandise.
