Where you'll work
Job description
About the Role
Amazon places the highest importance on employee safety and wellbeing. In this role, you will help strengthen workplace health and safety at a logistics site, working closely with internal specialists and contributing every day to a safer environment for your colleagues.
This position offers an entry point into occupational safety along with the chance to grow professionally within a global organization. You will monitor the site closely, support safety improvements, and help ensure that processes align with Amazon’s safety standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Carry out risk assessments and site audits to identify safety gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor operations to make sure site processes follow Amazon’s safety procedures.
- Prepare and refresh reports on safety metrics so colleagues can review and act on them.
- Work with and guide operations and cross-functional teams on safety topics and process compliance.
- Support the rollout and adoption of new safety measures and initiatives.
What a Typical Day Looks Like
You will be based on site at one of Amazon’s logistics facilities, keeping a close eye on day-to-day activity. Team members may approach you throughout the shift with safety-related questions, and part of your work will be to spot potential issues before they become problems.
You will regularly inspect the site, learn how associates use equipment, understand how each task and machine functions, and help keep processes as safe as possible. You will also help turn safety changes into action, working directly with many different people.
Alongside daily and weekly routine tasks, you may also support the operations team with safety-related concerns whenever needed. You will gather important data that helps explain how processes work and prevents future issues, then share those insights with other teams to keep safety at the forefront.
