Role overview

The Banking Analyst position sits within Global Finance Operations and focuses on keeping banking-related accounting records accurate, complete, and up to date. The role supports the smooth handling of financial transactions tied to banking activity and helps preserve the reliability of financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily bank entries and ensure all deposits, withdrawals, and transfers are recorded correctly.
• Carry out routine bank reconciliations by comparing statements with the general ledger, flagging mismatches, and helping resolve them quickly.
• Support the preparation and review of banking-related financial reports, including cash flow statements and reconciliation reports, while staying aligned with internal policies and external rules.
• Follow financial controls, legal requirements, and regulatory standards across all banking operations.
• Assist with internal and external audits by collecting and sharing the documentation needed for bank-related checks and reviews.
• Look for ways to improve banking processes so operations become more efficient and less error-prone.
• Help manage bank accounts, including account openings and closures, signer updates, and relationship maintenance with banking partners.
• Work with the treasury function on cash management activities such as forecasting and liquidity monitoring.
• Provide support for additional finance analysis and reporting tasks whenever needed.

Qualifications and experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
• Applicants should have 1 to 3 years of experience in banking or finance, ideally with direct exposure to transaction processing and bank reconciliations.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is important.
• The role calls for a careful, detail-oriented approach when handling financial data and entries.
• Candidates should be able to analyze financial information and spot variances or improvement opportunities.
• Good communication skills are needed to explain financial matters clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
