Role overview
This position is for a motivated and well-organized Assistant Project Coordinator who will help drive planning, execution, and tracking across multiple business areas. It is a strong entry point for recent graduates or anyone beginning a career in project management. Previous professional experience is not necessary.
Key responsibilities
- Assist project managers with the daily coordination of project tasks and activities.
- Keep an accurate watch on project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and due dates.
- Set up meeting agendas, record minutes, and make sure action points are followed through.
- Organize and maintain project files, reports, and documentation.
- Support communication flow between internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Help prepare status updates and track overall project progress.
- Monitor risks, blockers, and interdependencies that may affect delivery.
- Support resource planning and other administrative coordination work.
- Ensure project data remains current, structured, and correctly recorded.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree that is completed or currently underway in Business Administration, Project Management, Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar discipline.
- Strong ability to stay organized and manage several tasks at once.
- Good spoken and written communication skills.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Sharp attention to detail along with practical problem-solving ability.
- Capability to juggle multiple priorities in a busy, fast-moving setting.
- Willingness to build knowledge of project management methods and industry best practices.
Preferred background
- Any internship, academic assignment, volunteer work, or leadership exposure.
- Exposure to tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, Monday.com, or Microsoft Project is beneficial.
- Awareness of Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall approaches is an advantage.
- CAPM certification or related project management training would be a plus.
