About the Role
Lyrath Estate Hotel is a luxury 5-star property located on the outskirts of Kilkenny City and is looking to hire an experienced bartender to join its team.
Who This Role Is For
This position is only suitable for candidates with prior experience in a busy bar, ideally gained within a hospitality environment. Applicants without bar experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of drinks and cocktails while delivering high-quality guest service.
- Maintain strong knowledge of drinks, wine, and cocktails, and use that knowledge to suggest suitable options to customers.
- Consistently present a friendly, polite, and professional manner.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales through upselling wherever appropriate.
- Work across any of the hotel’s three bar outlets when required.
Requirements
- Experience in a busy bar environment is essential.
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-moving setting is required.
- Candidates must be legally allowed to work in Ireland.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong English fluency and communication skills are necessary.
- Full flexibility is required, including evenings and weekends.
