Care Assistant

Role overview

This position is for a Care Assistant based in Hull, supporting people in their own homes and helping them maintain dignity, comfort, and independence. You will visit customers at home and provide agreed day-to-day assistance that is similar to the sort of help a family member might give.

The role involves practical home care support such as personal care, domestic help, and encouragement with everyday routines. The service is delivered in a person-centred way, with respect for each customer’s individual needs.

Working hours and pay

Hours available are full time or part time. The hourly rate is £12.71 to £18.75.

Key duties

• Provide help with washing and dressing
• Assist with shopping and preparing meals
• Prompt customers to take prescribed medication
• Support people with their daily routines
• Offer respite support when needed
• Encourage social interaction and leisure activities
• Help customers take part in community life
