  • Handle guest luggage efficiently and proactively for both arriving and departing guests, while taking responsibility for its safe storage and return.
  • Keep the hotel entrance and front area clear of any hazards.

Local knowledge and daily coordination

  • Make sure the Hall Porter has enough local knowledge to provide useful guidance on transport, entertainment, and leisure options.
  • Keep the day Hall Porter updated each day on in-house events, conferences, and functions taking place at the hotel.

Health, safety and working standards

  • Follow all hotel health and safety rules, including fire safety and evacuation procedures.
  • Lift and move luggage in line with manual handling guidance and report any hazards to the Duty Manager.
