Role overview

This position sits within Supply Chain & Procurement and supports the Closure project at Lac de Gras. The Contracts Administrator will help manage contractor systems and ensure supplier performance stays aligned with agreed contract terms, Rio Tinto procurement requirements, project procedures, and company values.

The role follows a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation and is classified as Band K. The closing date for applications is 14 July 2026.

Key duties

  • Handle major Closure contracts from active performance through to final completion.
  • Monitor pre-qualification conditions, contractual deliverables, performance checkpoints, and payment milestones.
  • Work with Project Controls by supplying contract values, approved changes, forecast variations, and committed costs for accurate cost tracking.
  • Draft and review site instructions, notices, claims, and formal contract amendments.
  • Partner with the project team to spot contractual issues early and assess their possible effect on total contract expenditure.
  • Oversee contractor compliance, flag risks, and help resolve disputes when they arise.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and produce contract-related reports.
  • Keep contract documentation complete, current, and well organized throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate profile
