Role Summary
The Cook will be responsible for preparing meals for staff and guests, maintaining kitchen hygiene, managing food storage, and supporting food service for meetings and events. The role also requires coordination on menu planning, careful stock monitoring, and adherence to professional conduct and safeguarding standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks each day for staff and visitors as needed.
- Make sure meals are prepared on time and served efficiently.
- Adjust meal preparation to suit dietary needs, restrictions, and preferences, including vegetarian and medical diets.
- Work with the Supply Chain team to plan menus.
- Keep the kitchen and food storage spaces clean and hygienic at all times.
- Follow safe food handling, storage, and preservation practices.
- Clean kitchen tools, equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly.
- Track stock levels of food items and kitchen supplies.
- Store ingredients properly to reduce waste and prevent spoilage.
- Keep records of food use and inventory consumption.
- Maintain a neat, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
- Monitor the condition of kitchen equipment and report issues when needed.
- Assist with meal setup for meetings, workshops, and special events.
