About the Role

Crothall Healthcare is looking to fill full-time Dispatcher roles at Mobile Infirmary in Mobile, Alabama. This position focuses on coordinating patient transportation activity by handling dispatch requests quickly and accurately. The role is part of a healthcare support environment where service quality, responsiveness, and teamwork are important.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position scheduled from Tuesday through Saturday. Working hours can change, and additional details will be shared during the interview.

Compensation

The role pays a fixed rate of $14.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, high-quality service to customers and handle requests with care and accuracy.
• Use knowledge of patient transport procedures, infection prevention practices, and proper body mechanics.
• Apply dispatcher logic, coordinate transporter activity, and assist with patient transport when needed.
• Manage the transport function by directing staff, monitoring task completion, and following up on service or operational issues.
• Make sure transport requests are completed efficiently and in line with departmental standards, priorities, and patient appointment times.
• Act as a communication link between Patient Transportation and other departments.
• Issue, collect, and distribute pagers while monitoring daily sign-in and sign-out procedures.
• Build positive working relationships with patients, families, visitors, and staff while keeping transport requests moving on time.
• Address concerns or complaints from patients, visitors, staff, or employees and suggest solutions for recurring problems.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to support patient transport operations and follow established departmental procedures.
• Capability to work in a role that may involve transporting patients when required.
• Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Some positions may require Florida Level 2 background screening.
