Role Overview

The Engineering Manager will lead the engineering function in Riyadh and report to the Head of Engineering. This is a senior leadership position focused on guiding engineering teams, delivering safe and economical formwork solutions, and supporting complex projects across the Kingdom. The role calls for strong technical depth in formwork engineering, proven leadership capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage several priorities in a fast-moving environment.

This opportunity suits an experienced engineering leader who is comfortable working with clients and teams in a multicultural Middle East setting. Responsibilities

• Direct, support, and inspire engineering teams working on multiple projects.
• Develop practical and cost-conscious formwork solutions that align with team and company goals.
• Encourage technical learning, information sharing, and ongoing development within the engineering group.
• Track project milestones and ensure delivery against deadlines.
• Prepare, check, and approve formwork designs, material schedules, offer drawings, and shop drawings.
• Carry out and review advanced static calculations and structural checks.
• Make sure proposed solutions are safe, workable, and commercially sound.
• Resolve complex technical and site-related issues.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Teams, and Formwork Instructors on engineering matters.
• Support the Sales team with technical advice, client meetings, presentations, and site assistance.
• Lead customer discussions, workshops, and visits to explain proposals and clarify technical needs.
• Work with the Head of Engineering to assign engineering resources effectively.
• Ensure company procedures, engineering standards, and performance expectations are followed.
• Monitor compliance with contractual, legal, and safety obligations.
• Promote consistent use of engineering best practices across all projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Substantial experience in formwork engineering, ideally gained in Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East.
• Background in managing engineering teams and handling multiple projects at once.
• At least 5 years in comparable managerial roles, including responsibility for an engineering function in the formwork sector.
• Strong understanding of formwork systems and core engineering principles.
• Ability to use CAD tools for 2D and 3D work, along with project management software.
• Well-developed leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong analytical thinking and a careful eye for detail.
• Commercial mindset with a focus on results.
• Willingness to travel according to business needs.
• English fluency is essential; Arabic is an added advantage.
