About the role
Al-Qadsiah Club is seeking a First Team Physiologist to support the performance of its senior squad. The position focuses on using sports science and physiological monitoring to improve fitness, guide recovery, limit injury exposure, and help players perform at their best.

What you will do
- Track player load and performance by collecting, reviewing, and interpreting GPS, heart-rate, and other biometric information.
- Create individualized conditioning plans that reflect tactical periodization and the demands of each playing position.
- Build and adapt recovery strategies using methods such as cryotherapy, hydration support, and other recovery tools, based on readiness indicators.
- Perform screening and assessment work to spot injury risks early and support corrective action.
- Coordinate with medical professionals on rehabilitation plans and return-to-play decisions.
- Partner with other departments to keep performance planning aligned and collaborative.
- Adopt new technologies and remain current with developments in sports science research and best practice.
- Follow strong standards for data privacy and reporting, and travel with the team when required.
- Maintain continuous professional development and assist the Head of Performance with additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications and experience
A master’s degree in Physiology, Sports Science, or a closely related subject is required. A PhD in a relevant field is preferred, as is registration or accreditation with a recognized professional body.
The club is looking for someone with proven physiologist experience, ideally in elite or professional sport, along with a solid background in performance testing, movement screening, and conditioning program design. Candidates should be able to turn complex data into practical recommendations and have strong knowledge of athlete preparation, recovery, and gym/field training principles.
Strong attention to detail is important, especially in relation to session quality, data accuracy, and athlete safety. Excellent English communication skills are essential. Multilingual ability, particularly in Spanish and Arabic, is a plus, as is prior experience with a professional club in the Middle East.
