Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

This role is for a seasoned Infrastructure Engineer who can oversee and support enterprise IT environments spanning both on-premises systems and cloud platforms. The position calls for practical expertise in server administration, virtualization, networking, security, backup and recovery, and infrastructure monitoring to keep essential business systems available, secure, and performing well.

• Cloud operations across Microsoft Azure and AWS
• Microsoft 365 administration
• PowerShell scripting
• Veeam-based backup and recovery
• SCCM/MECM and WSUS administration
• Monitoring with SolarWinds, Zabbix, and Nagios
• Handling FortiGate and Cisco networking equipment
• SQL Server administration

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and upkeep of server, network, and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage Active Directory services, access permissions, group policies, and related security settings.
• Track system uptime, performance, and health through enterprise monitoring platforms.
• Administer virtualization layers, cloud workloads, and storage systems.
• Carry out backup, restoration, and disaster recovery activities.
• Apply patches and roll out upgrades across infrastructure components.
• Diagnose and fix issues affecting infrastructure, networks, and applications.
• Support infrastructure security, regulatory compliance, and business continuity objectives.
• Keep configuration records, technical documentation, and operating procedures up to date.
• Assist with capacity planning and initiatives to improve infrastructure efficiency.

Experience

The role requires at least 5 years of experience in infrastructure administration or engineering, along with a solid grasp of enterprise IT systems, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies. Experience managing hybrid cloud setups and large-scale enterprise environments is expected, as are strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication abilities.
