About the role
Amrize is hiring immediately for a Laborer at its manufacturing site in Theodore, Alabama. This is a multi-skilled role focused on keeping the Theodore Cement Plant clean, organized, and operating safely. If you want to contribute to work that supports major construction and manufacturing operations, this position may be a strong fit.
Key duties
- Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping tasks as assigned.
- Complete inspections and checklist-based checks in designated work areas.
- Use a range of small to mid-sized mobile equipment such as skid steers, sweepers, water trucks, and vac trucks.
- Step into different plant areas as needed to cover staffing gaps.
- Handle other assigned tasks as required.
- Support a strong safety culture by following and promoting health, safety, and environmental policies across all work environments.
What the employer is looking for
The preferred background includes a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and no travel requirements. Candidates should bring a strong safety mindset, a valid driver’s license, and familiarity with the basics of cement manufacturing. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
Safety and compliance
Selected candidates must follow all safety procedures and use company-approved personal protective equipment, including respirators where required. Anyone who must wear a respirator needs to be clean-shaven at the sealing area of the face so qualitative and quantitative fit tests can be passed.
