Maintenance Technician - Elevators & Escalators

To support this expansion, the company is hiring Maintenance Technicians who bring a strong service mindset and can deliver professional support to customers. In this role, you will help make everyday life easier by improving equipment safety, performance, and reliability through proactive communication and regular maintenance work, including call-outs.

Role Overview

The position centers on planned maintenance, troubleshooting, and service visits for elevators and escalators. You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance tasks, attending service calls, and ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and in line with required standards and procedures.

Customer Relationship Management

• Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering dependable service and maintaining clear, timely, and proactive communication on site, including updates on estimated arrival times and work completed.
• Record work accurately and in real time at the equipment level.
• Take ownership of equipment safety and performance.
• Identify site hazards and report them to the supervisor without delay.
• Act immediately on site when a high-risk issue is detected and follow the escalation process.
• Recognize unplanned repair needs based on the condition and requirements of the equipment.

Service Operations

• Protect end-user and site safety at all times.
• Follow maintenance and safety instructions while applying safe working practices during all service activities.
• Carry out planned maintenance, call-outs, and service repairs according to the schedule, time limits, quality expectations, and process requirements.
• Report sales leads to the supervisor.
• Submit accurate and timely reports of completed work as per process requirements.
• Prepare and submit timesheets based on actual execution.
• Keep tools, van, instruments, and related service equipment secure, properly maintained, and in good working order.
• Provide the supervisor with regular updates on all relevant matters.

Requirements

• ITI, vocational certificate, or diploma in Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation streams, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
• Basic IT knowledge will be an advantage.
• Foundational digital skills are preferred for this role.
• Between 2 and 5 years of solid preventive maintenance and troubleshooting experience with a well-established elevator company is required.
