Key Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned set of customer accounts, with the portfolio subject to change as the business grows or performance needs shift.
- Work with operations and shipping leaders to coordinate company truck routes, including pickup schedules and delivery/drop-off locations.
- Prepare a daily report showing customer orders currently in house and compare expected completion dates with current status to confirm on-time delivery.
- Take the necessary steps to fix issues that place orders on hold or push them beyond standard process lead times.
- Drive issue resolution and escalate matters to department leaders or site leadership when timely resolution is not achieved.
- Maintain clear communication among quality, operations, finance, and customer service teams so customer expectations are met.
- Align completion dates with transportation schedules to avoid missed pickup windows and delivery delays.
- Partner with receiving, planning, scheduling, and contract review teams to evaluate incoming orders for assigned customers and programs, including deciding whether order splits are needed to meet due dates and coordinating approval with customers.
- Communicate with customers about orders that need advance planning before delivery, especially critical or high-priority expedited jobs.
- Confirm that all required engineering materials such as blueprints, CATIA models, specifications, and part-mark aids are collected before delivery and shared with the right teams for processing.
- Make sure expedited orders are properly marked in the MRP system, including the applicable expedite fee in the order notes.
- Keep customer contact information current in the MRP system so automated order acknowledgements and completion notifications are sent correctly.
- Coordinate with accounting to establish new terms and conditions in the MRP system for new customers under the assigned program portfolio.
- Set up and manage scorecard retrieval and review schedules with each assigned customer for delivery and quality measurement.
- Review customer scorecards with the Quality Manager, Customer Service Manager, or designated representatives to identify trends and define corrective or preventive actions.
- Review non-conformance notices issued for assigned customers.
- Take part in root-cause corrective action efforts and provide input to help prevent repeat issues.
- Review new part integration activities completed by assigned customers for work packages and processes.
- Travel to customer sites as needed for meetings, performance reviews, and support in securing new work packages with sales staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
