Role overview
The Project Coordinator role is based in Puslinch, Ontario and offers a salary range of $60,000 to $75,000. This position supports the planning and execution of heavy lift, transport, and related projects. The coordinator works alongside Project Managers and different internal teams to keep schedules, resources, documents, communications, and reports organized so that work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
Key responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with building and updating project plans, timelines, and delivery approaches.
- Arrange the movement into and out of project sites for people, equipment, and other resources.
- Monitor progress, milestones, risks, and action items, and raise concerns when needed.
- Keep project files accurate and current, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, invoices, and completion records.
- Support budget monitoring, cost summaries, and invoice processing.
- Help maintain communication among project teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Draft project updates, reports, meeting notes, and status summaries on a regular basis.
- Support safe execution by following safety standards, company procedures, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, and logistics teams to help projects run smoothly.
- Contribute ideas for process improvements and capture lessons learned for future work.
What you need
- A post-secondary background in business, project management, engineering, construction management, logistics, or a similar area, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in project coordination, operations, logistics, construction, heavy lift, transport, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to juggle several priorities in a busy environment.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office; experience with project management tools or SAP is considered an advantage.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
