Property Assistant

Role overview

Awaze is looking for a Property Assistant to join its regional operations team in Salcombe. This role is focused on maintaining excellent cleaning and presentation standards across a defined area so that holiday homes consistently provide a high-quality guest experience.

The managed service is designed to remove the burden of holiday home lettings by handling cleaning, maintenance, and guest readiness, giving homeowners peace of mind that everything is being looked after. In this position, you will help make that promise happen day to day.

What you will do

• Take ownership of cleaning quality across the assigned property portfolio.
• Work with external cleaning partners to maintain consistency, efficiency, and high standards.
• Review guest feedback and turn insights into practical improvements.
• Work with property owners to suggest and support enhancements to their homes.
• Use performance data to improve quality, control costs, and refine processes.
• Help recruit, onboard, and maintain a reliable supply of cleaning partners for current and future demand.

• Properties regularly meet Awaze standards for cleanliness and presentation.
• Cleaning partners are well supported and motivated through strong working relationships.
• Guest satisfaction scores relating to cleanliness improve over time.

What we are looking for

This role will suit someone who enjoys being out in the field, working with local suppliers, and taking pride in high standards. You should have a sharp eye for detail and be comfortable using both judgment and data to solve problems.

Additional requirements

• A full, clean UK driving licence is required.
• You should bring a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and accountability.
• Previous experience working with third-party suppliers or service partners is important.
• You need confidence in using feedback and data to guide decisions and improvements.
• A practical, proactive, and solution-focused mindset is essential.

Working pattern

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Salcombe. The role is 35 hours per week, and the office operates from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. Weekend availability is therefore essential.
