Role Overview
Zaxbys is hiring a Restaurant General Manager in Hampton, GA. The role is centered on leading the restaurant team, building a strong workplace culture, and keeping daily operations running smoothly while meeting company goals.
The restaurant is positioned as a fun, guest-focused place to work and dine. In this position, you will guide the team, support operational planning, and help drive performance across staffing, training, guest satisfaction, sales, cost control, and brand compliance.
Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $65,000 to $70,000. The role also offers quarterly bonus potential of up to 24% of annual salary.

Key Responsibilities
You will be expected to lead by example, support a positive team environment, and make sure the restaurant delivers consistently strong guest experiences.
The position includes overseeing hiring, staffing levels, training, mentoring, coaching, and performance accountability. You will also be responsible for scheduling, shift planning, and helping control labor costs while supporting sales growth.
Other duties include maintaining quality, cleanliness, and service standards; managing profitability; building community relationships; keeping records current; monitoring daily metrics; and putting improvement plans in place where needed.
The role also includes handling complaints, concerns, and incidents in a respectful and timely way, promoting safe work practices, escalating issues when needed, and completing other tasks necessary for smooth restaurant operations.
Training and Compliance
Completion of required training is part of the job, including the General Manager Development Plan, the Operations Excellence Capstone Class, Food Safety Certification, Manager Certification, and any other training assigned by the company.
You must also maintain compliance with company policies as well as applicable federal, state, and local rules, guidelines, and procedures.
Qualifications

The role requires open availability, including the ability to work at least 5 days and 48 hours per week, with flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

The minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent, with some college preferred. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of management experience is required, and restaurant management experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements
This role involves continuous sitting, standing, and walking. It may also require occasional bending, stooping, crouching, and climbing, including ladder use.
You should be able to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting. The job also requires repeated hand and wrist use, clear verbal and written communication, and strong visual and audio awareness.
Work conditions may include hot and cold temperatures, exposure to food allergens, and safe use of restaurant equipment such as knives, fryers, and other potentially hazardous tools.
