Role overview
Mattel Asia Pacific is looking for a highly organised and proactive Sales Coordinator to support its New Zealand sales function. This position plays an important role in helping the team deliver business goals through accurate sales operations, commercial reporting, and inventory support.
The right person will be comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment and will bring strong analytical ability, excellent attention to detail, and a team-focused mindset. What you will do
- Manage everyday sales support tasks such as promotional submissions, communication with retailers, account administration, and upkeep of sales tracking systems.
- Compile, review, and interpret sales and inventory data, spot trends and opportunities, and assist with forecasting and planning work.
- Provide support to Account Management and Sales Leadership through reports, documents, presentations, and other operational activities that contribute to commercial outcomes.
- Help organise promotional activities, customer presentations, trade shows, and the handling of product samples.
- Maintain productive working relationships with internal teams and external partners while delivering reliable administrative support that keeps the sales team running smoothly.

- Background in sales operations, sales administration, or a comparable commercial support role.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capability, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, with hands-on experience handling sales, inventory, or reporting datasets.
- Strong analytical thinking, planning ability, and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to juggle several priorities in a dynamic setting.
- Confident communication and relationship management skills, plus a collaborative style when working across functions.
- A self-driven approach, strong precision, and a genuine interest in improving processes and contributing to better business performance.
