About the role
This Dublin-based position sits within LinkedIn’s Sales Development team, where the focus is on creating strong early-stage customer relationships and building a pipeline for future sales opportunities. The team is designed to help new hires develop into high-performing sales professionals through coaching, structured development, and exposure to LinkedIn’s Sales Academy. Successful Sales Development Representatives often progress into broader sales roles and, in some cases, leadership positions within the company.

What you will do
- Build productive working relationships with Account Executives, Account Directors, and peers by following the agreed rules of engagement and handling conflicts constructively.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on account priorities, target lists, and success measures to support shared ownership and efficient execution.
- Contribute to a supportive team environment by demonstrating collaborative behaviors in day-to-day work.
- Represent LinkedIn’s values and culture while aligning priorities with teammates and partner functions.
- Use customer and market understanding to identify business needs and respond to pain points effectively.
- Follow structured outreach and prospecting methods to maintain steady engagement with prospects.
- Develop working knowledge of LinkedIn products and use qualification frameworks such as BANT to capture relevant information and move opportunities forward.
- Introduce the sales process clearly to prospects, set expectations for next steps, and listen carefully to uncover needs and objections.
- Test different outreach approaches, prioritize leads and accounts, and improve response rates through consistent, targeted activity.
- Create coaching plans around development goals, actively seek feedback, and apply it to improve results.
- Use A/B testing and prospecting analytics to assess the impact of messaging on conversion rates across campaigns or segments, then share insights with cross-functional partners.
- Apply written rules of engagement to handle routine conflicts and escalate issues when required.
- Track and meet monthly and quarterly performance targets by aligning daily work with core KPIs.
- Build and follow structured success plans that set milestones, daily goals, and tactics for performance improvement.
- Use data to monitor effectiveness, communicate quarterly forecasts, and identify decision-making processes and timing factors that could affect deals.
- Provide accurate opportunity information based on verified prospect data to support forecast quality.
- Spot and pursue higher-value opportunities by prioritizing inbound and outbound leads using early signals and qualification criteria.
What you need
- At least 1 year of experience in sales, business development, recruiting, lead generation, or sales operations, or an equivalent High School Diploma / GED.
- Strong fluency in English.
- At least 6 months of experience working with CRM or ERP tools such as Salesforce, Dynamics, or HubSpot is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and prospects.
- Comfort with data, analytics, and structured outreach methods.
- Interest in continuous learning, coaching, and improving sales effectiveness.
