It is known for a driven, outcome-focused culture, strong ownership at senior levels, and the chance to solve large-scale business challenges in real time.Role overviewThis position is designed for building a global fruit trading business from the ground up and scaling it quickly. It is a high-ownership role with international exposure, scope to influence P&L over time, and significant visibility. The work will involve close collaboration with a lean team and the opportunity to shape a business line that is already growing, rather than solving early-stage product-market fit issues.Key responsibilitiesThe role includes developing a strong understanding of market behavior across different country and commodity combinations, and translating that insight into an on-ground go-to-market strategy that can be executed quickly and at scale.You will work across teams such as Legal, HR, Category, Product, the business unit head, and the CEO’s office to ensure internal alignment with external business needs. Additional responsibilities may include launching operations in new countries, refining processes into repeatable operating playbooks, recruiting locally, leading teams or business lines, and creating data products that strengthen the company’s long-term advantage.The position also offers substantial autonomy once trust is established. The exact scope of work may evolve collaboratively as the business grows.Experience and fitThe ideal background includes 4 to 8 years of experience in consulting, strategy and operations, or P&L ownership. Experience as a Chief of Staff or in a CEO’s office is also relevant.Prior work in building new business lines, products, or verticals will be valuable. An MBA or bachelor’s degree from a Tier I or Tier II institution is preferred. Experience in fresh produce, imports and exports, or trading is an added advantage, though not essential.What success in this role looks likeTo do well here, you should be detail-oriented while also being able to simplify ambiguous problems. The role demands strong analytical thinking, solid problem-solving ability, and the communication skills to adapt your message for different audiences and influence decisions.You should be comfortable operating in a fast-moving, dynamic environment, be naturally curious enough to figure things out independently, and be ambitious with a strong drive to perform.
