Qualifications
You should have at least some high school education and preferably some experience in operations. Local food-safety or municipal certifications, such as a food handler card, must be obtained at the applicant’s own expense.
Work Conditions
This role involves a fast-moving restaurant environment with hot prep areas, steam, food vapors, limited workspace, and high noise levels. You may be expected to stand for long periods, handle hot and cold food, use a Chinese cook knife and other kitchen tools, work accurately and quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., stand for up to four hours, and reach across 36-inch countertops to serve guests. The position also requires strong verbal communication, flexibility in changing priorities, and the ability to handle conflict and difficult situations.
