Job Purpose
The Team Member - AOCC/JCC is responsible for supporting smooth airport operations through live monitoring and active coordination with both internal teams and external partners. The role focuses on quick resource deployment, handling congestion, and improving overall operational performance.
Responsibilities
Operations monitoring and terminal coordination
- Track terminal activity in real time to identify congestion, irregular events, or disruptions, and work with terminal operations, security, and other teams to take corrective action.
- Support uninterrupted baggage movement by watching the process closely and helping resolve delays.
- Oversee VDGS and GOS operations so that parking stands are assigned before aircraft arrival and block-in/block-out timing remains on schedule.
- Liaise with the Landing Parking Cell and non-scheduled operators to help secure departure approvals in line with flight plans.
Flight announcements and status communication
- Carry out manual or system-driven terminal announcements whenever required by airlines or terminal operations.
- Issue flight status updates over paging systems to keep passengers and visitors informed during routine operations and disruptions.
- Maintain accurate and timely flight data on FIDS.
Stakeholder coordination
- Work with Medical Services, ATC, ground handlers, and terminal operations to respond quickly to medical emergencies.
- Coordinate with ATC on arrivals, stand allocation, runway changes, towing permissions, and other operational changes.
- Partner with airlines, non-scheduled operators, ground handling teams, engineering, and security to keep shift operations running efficiently.
Compliance, records, and reporting
- Follow SOPs and applicable regulatory requirements, and assist with internal and external audit preparedness.
- Record operational information and compile reports for shift handovers, incidents, and performance monitoring.
Training and development
- Support employees in completing mandatory compliance training covering aviation rules, safety procedures, ISO standards, and operational excellence.
- Take part in mock drills, simulations, and cross-functional learning activities to improve coordination across departments.
Qualifications
Post Diploma or a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
Preferred background of 1 to 2 years in airport operations, ground handling, or airside services.
Key Stakeholders
Internal: Duty Manager - AOCC/JCC, Airport Operations Team, Air Traffic Control, Airport Security, Emergency Medical Services, Engineering & Maintenance Team, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Team.
External: Airlines, ground handlers, non-scheduled operators, and government agencies such as Customs, Immigration, CISF, ARC, Air Force, and Military, along with medical agencies.
