Road & Rail Services is seeking a Vehicle Shuttle Driver for its West Lake site in Jacksonville, Florida. The role involves moving brand-new vehicles from the port to assigned parking areas as part of a busy, team-oriented operation. Interview Details
Open interviews are held every Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Road and Rail Services office located at 1851 University Blvd S, Jacksonville, FL 32216. Walk-ins are welcome for a quick interview.
Job Summary
In this position, you will be responsible for transporting new vehicles from the port and parking them in designated bays. You will also help with inventory tracking and ensure all work follows safety rules and operating procedures.
Work Schedule and Conditions
Applicants should be prepared for 12-hour shifts starting at 6:00 AM, Monday through Saturday. Overtime is available. The work is performed outdoors in Florida heat, so hydration is important. The company requires composite or steel-toe shoes for drivers; boots are not permitted. Reimbursement of up to $70.00 is provided toward the required shoe purchase.
Key Duties
- Move new vehicles safely to the correct parking locations.
- Perform regular vehicle inventory checks.
- Follow assigned driving routes and park each vehicle accurately.
- Work in line with all customer, company, and industry safety standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent level of ability.
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Strong focus on safety.
- Ability to keep pace in a fast-moving environment and meet attendance expectations.
- Team-oriented approach and willingness to learn and develop.
