About the internship
MSC Group operates across multiple business lines, bringing in and supplying nutraceutical and clinically supported ingredients sourced from various parts of the world. Its research and formulation work supports startups and established brands in supplements, functional drinks, protein products, hydration solutions, and wellness offerings.
The intern will support purchasing activities by sourcing raw and packaging materials and by coordinating with vendors, manufacturers, and logistics partners so that research, development, and commercial work move forward without delays.
Procurement and vendor management
- Find and source nutraceutical inputs, amino acids, botanical extracts, vitamins, minerals, and packaging supplies.
- Request quotations from suppliers and negotiate commercial terms and pricing.
- Build and sustain working relationships with Indian and overseas vendors.
- Shortlist substitute suppliers to reduce the risk of supply disruption.
R&D support
- Arrange ingredients needed for formulation testing and sample preparation.
- Ensure ingredients reach the team on time for active projects.
- Monitor vendor lead times and keep procurement timelines updated.
Documentation and compliance
- Collect supplier documents such as COAs, product specifications, MSDS, and regulatory paperwork.
- Keep vendor files and purchasing databases organized and current.
- Make sure all required documentation is in place before purchase approvals are processed.
Inventory and planning
- Track inventory levels and coordinate replenishment when stock runs low.
- Maintain usage records for materials consumed in both R&D and commercial work.
- Partner with the R&D team to estimate upcoming material needs.
Coordination
- Liaise with contract manufacturers, transport partners, and warehouse teams.
- Follow up on shipments and help ensure deliveries arrive on schedule.
- Assist in communicating with suppliers and resolving operational issues.
Eligibility
This role is open only to candidates who can commit to a full-time, in-office internship, can begin between 18 June 2026 and 23 July 2026, can stay for 3 months, and are based in Pune. Compensation and duration
