Role overview
We are looking for a remote Academic Researcher who can contribute rigorous research expertise to support the development of advanced AI systems. The position is centered on producing reliable, real-world insights that help improve how models learn, reason, and perform.
What you will do
- Carry out detailed research and analysis within your field, turning findings into strong evidence-based insights.
- Draft, organize, and review complex Word and PDF materials, including tasks such as tracked edits, form completion, and data extraction.
- Work closely with teams across legal, healthcare, policy, and finance functions to support a range of project requirements.
- Convert technical or complex research into clear reports and presentations suitable for Fortune 500-level expectations.
- Review and combine academic papers, legal materials, and industry data to guide project decisions.
- Make sure all deliverables remain accurate, consistent, and aligned with the specified guidelines.
- Communicate professionally in both written and verbal form with stakeholders and internal team members.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in academic research, legal work, policy, healthcare, or a related area.
- A Master’s degree, PhD, or JD from an accredited institution.
- Strong hands-on experience with Word and PDF review tasks, including formatting, tracked changes, document review, and data extraction.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong eye for detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a remote, deadline-focused environment.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams on complex deliverables.
- A history of delivering polished, client-ready work.
Preferred experience
- Background working with, or for, Fortune 500 companies.
- Exposure to document workflows in legal, healthcare, policy, or finance operations.
- Evidence of active publication or presentation activity in academic or professional settings.
