Role Summary

This on-site, full-time Accountant position is based in Jeddah and centers on day-to-day financial operations. The selected candidate will handle transaction recording, ledger upkeep, and bank reconciliations, while also preparing invoices and managing receivables and payables to keep collections and payments on schedule.

Key Duties

The role includes supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, along with contributing to budgeting and cost management for construction projects. The Accountant will maintain organized and accurate records, support both internal and external audits, ensure compliance with relevant financial rules and internal policies, and work closely with project and procurement teams to track spending and assess project profitability.

Required Background

Candidates should have a solid foundation in accounting work, including journal postings, ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliation. Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and collection activities is important. The role also calls for the ability to prepare reports, assist with budgeting, and support variance analysis and cost control.

Strong use of accounting software and Microsoft Excel is expected, including spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis. Familiarity with basic tax matters, financial compliance, and regulations relevant to the construction industry is an added advantage. The position requires strong attention to detail, good numerical ability, and the discipline to keep records accurate. Clear communication and teamwork with project, procurement, and management teams are also essential.

Education and Experience

A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field is required, and professional certifications will be considered a plus. Prior experience working as an accountant, especially in a construction or project-driven environment, is highly desirable.
