Role overview

This permanent Analyst role sits within Deloitte’s AI and Data Transformation practice. Based in Toronto with hybrid working, the position also notes availability across Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, and Vancouver. What you will do

• Lead or support workshops and stakeholder conversations to uncover strategic business problems.
• Create target-state concepts and define use cases that apply artificial intelligence, generative AI, and advanced analytics to generate value.
• Help build proofs of concept, governance approaches, and implementation roadmaps that turn ideas into delivery.
• Prepare presentations, written materials, and visual assets that help clients understand and align on AI strategy.
• Work with data scientists, engineers, and strategists to design and deliver data-led solutions across sectors such as financial services, healthcare, energy, and the public sector.

About the team

The AI and Data consulting practice includes more than 300 professionals across Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Ottawa, and Calgary. The group combines research, practical delivery, and human-centered design to address complex business and technology challenges. Its work spans enterprise AI strategy, GenAI applications, AI governance, privacy and ethics, advanced analytics, intelligent automation, and industry-focused innovation.

What the firm is looking for

The right candidate can communicate fluently in both business and AI concepts. Deep coding expertise is not required, but you should understand what modern AI, data, and analytics can and cannot do, and be able to translate that into meaningful client impact. The role suits someone who enjoys ambiguity, complexity, and collaboration between technical and business stakeholders.

Compensation and benefits

The salary range for this role is CAD 50,000 to CAD 90,000. Eligible candidates may also participate in a bonus program. The total rewards package includes competitive base pay, variable pay opportunities, paid vacation, mental health support benefits of CAD 4,000 per year, a CAD 1,300 flexible benefit spending account, firm-wide Deloitte Days, dedicated learning days called Development and Innovation Days, flexible work arrangements, and a hybrid work structure.

Additional requirements and location notes

For Quebec-based locations, French and English bilingualism is required because the role involves interaction with national and global clients and project teams.

Candidate profile

You should have strong organizational skills, be able to work independently on complex tasks, communicate clearly in writing and speaking, adapt your message for different audiences, and be comfortable using PowerPoint and Excel or similar tools. Interest or experience in AI, data, analytics, consulting, strategy, or a related sector is valuable, along with comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous, and collaborative environments.

Preferred background

Helpful background includes an undergraduate and/or master’s degree from an accredited institution, prior exposure to consulting, strategy, business analytics, public sector, financial services, healthcare, life sciences, natural resources, or customer/marketing work, and familiarity with data governance, information architecture, data engineering, data visualization, data science, advanced analytics, machine learning, generative AI, agentic AI, and LLMs or similar emerging technologies.
