Requirements

  • Either an advanced degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience in analytical instrumentation and applications.
  • Preferred academic background in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
  • Strong preference for experience with Thermo Fisher systems, especially chromatography and/or mass spectrometry.
  • Proven ability to solve technical problems and develop methods.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas for different audiences.
  • Confidence in presenting and delivering training to both technical and non-technical groups.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team in a goal-driven setting.
  • Experience managing projects and handling several priorities at once.
  • Willingness to travel up to about 50% within New Zealand and other regions when needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant scientific software tools.
