The opportunity
An opening exists for an experienced Project Architect or Architectural Designer to join the Christchurch office. This position will suit someone who is strongly design-oriented, but also comfortable working as a versatile all-rounder across every stage of delivery.
You will contribute to both concept and execution, supporting projects from initial ideas through documentation and construction. The role also offers the chance to take responsibility for projects and work directly with clients, consultants, and the wider practice.
Key requirements
The ideal candidate will bring more than 5 years of experience working on commercial and large-scale residential projects. A solid grasp of the New Zealand Building Code and related standards is essential, along with advanced Revit capability. Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Enscape, and D5 is also required.
You should be confident communicating with clients, consultants, and contractors, and capable of guiding projects from concept to final completion. The studio is looking for someone with a design-led approach, strong technical judgment, and a proactive, flexible, and team-oriented mindset.
What the role offers
The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000, with the final offer depending on experience.
