Role overview

This position is for an AI researcher focused on advanced work in artificial intelligence and Arabic natural language processing. The role supports the Arabic Intelligence Center by turning research into practical AI solutions, studying new technologies, and assessing modern model architectures.

Core responsibilities

• Carry out research and analytical studies across artificial intelligence, machine learning, and Arabic NLP.
• Examine large language models and generative AI methods to understand their strengths and limitations.
• Plan research experiments, run them, and interpret the outcomes.
• Prepare research papers, technical documentation, and knowledge resources.
• Help build Arabic language datasets and related linguistic assets.
• Work closely with AI engineers, linguists, and subject-matter experts to improve AI products and solutions.
• Track global developments, trends, and innovations in AI and computational linguistics.
• Take part in workshops, presentations, and internal knowledge-sharing sessions.

Skills and qualifications

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning, along with practical experience in Arabic NLP. This role also calls for proficiency in Python and AI development tools, experience working with LLMs and generative AI, strong research and problem-solving ability, and the capability to produce technical reports and publications. Good communication and presentation skills are essential, and fluency in both Arabic and English is required.

Education and experience

A master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates must also bring at least 5 years of experience in Arabic natural language processing.
